Tributes Paid to 'Strong and Feisty' Young Mother Found Dead in Midlands Home
Heartfelt tributes have been paid to Beatrice 'Bee' Solomon, a 27-year-old mother who was tragically found dead in her Midlands home. The beloved mum-of-one was discovered by her devastated husband, Damian Butler, 40, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at their residence in Stoke-on-Trent.
A Life Cut Short
Beatrice Solomon leaves behind her one-year-old son, Theodore, and her husband Damian Butler. A recent funeral service heard emotional descriptions of Beatrice as a "strong and feisty" individual who had been "tormented" prior to her untimely death.
Celebrant Susanna Guest led the service, painting a vivid picture of Beatrice's vibrant personality. "Bee was happy, smiley, strong and feisty," Ms. Guest shared. "She was someone who always tried to see the good, always looking for the positive and always grateful for the small things."
A Bright Spirit Remembered
Ms. Guest continued to describe Beatrice's remarkable character: "She had a way of brightening up the world simply by living in it. She was honest, sensible and grounded. As Damian lovingly said, she was the wife band. The one who held everything together."
The celebrant highlighted Beatrice's diverse interests and background: "She loved trips to London, visits to Blackpool and being by the seaside. She was easy to get along with, always looking for a chat. Always looking for a laugh. And she loved dressing up, trying out new looks and expressing herself creatively. There was a real playful side to her."
Educational and Professional Journey
Beatrice's academic and professional accomplishments were also celebrated during the service. "She studied microbiology at the University of Nigeria before completing her national service," Ms. Guest revealed. "She even stepped into the world of TV presenting and featured in some songs on Spotify."
The young mother had moved to the United Kingdom in November 2023 with hopes of building a new life. "Bee came to the UK in November 2023 to build her life and settled in Stoke-on-Trent full of hope and ambition," the celebrant explained.
A Whirlwind Romance
The service detailed the rapid development of Beatrice's relationship with her husband. "The fates aligned to bring Bee and Damian together," Ms. Guest said. "They met at the end of January 2024 and just clicked. Damian proposed by the end of February and they were married by the end of April."
"Very soon after, they fell pregnant with Theo. Bee was so excited to become a mother. She was overjoyed to welcome her little boy into the world in March 2025. She absolutely doted on him."
Struggles and Tragic Outcome
The celebrant acknowledged the difficulties Beatrice faced in her final year. "This past year has been incredibly difficult and painful. And these struggles truly tormented Bee," Ms. Guest stated. "Sadly, and tragically, the weight of it became too much to bear. And so we find ourselves here today."
Ms. Guest added: "Trying to hold both truths at once - the bright, joyful, loving Bee, along with the pain that led her to this point."
Husband's Heartbreaking Tribute
Damian Butler shared his own emotional words about his late wife. "I didn't write anything today, because I couldn't find the words for you," he began. "The way you came into my life was miraculous. I woke up on my sofa and you were in my house cleaning up."
"I couldn't remember how you got there, but since then we've never been apart. I was in a dark place at the time and she was like a light that helped me escape."
Damian reflected on their time together: "The last two years have been absolutely amazing. Having a best friend and a partner to cherish. We got through all of our struggles together. You taught me lessons that I wouldn't ever have learned without you."
He concluded: "You gave me the strength to live in this world. You were so warm and bright. And I can't believe you're gone."
Final Farewell
A photo montage was shared during the service, showing Beatrice during happier times. The images featured her smiling alongside horses in stables and with her family on the beach, according to local reports.
Damian also shared a poem he wrote for his wife: "You will never be forgotten, not in my heart, not in the love we made, not in the life you brought into this world. Rest now, my beautiful wife, free from pain, free from fear. And if love could reach beyond this life, you would feel mine holding you still."
