A Cheshire theatre group has secured vital funding to launch a new programme of free creative workshops for teenagers in a rural community.
Grant Fuels Creative Opportunity for Young People
Little Actors Theatre Company has been awarded a grant from the Cheshire West and Chester Youth Opportunity Fund. This financial boost will enable the delivery of a brand-new series of theatre workshops at Neston Town Hall, with the programme scheduled to commence in the spring of 2026. Building Skills and Confidence Through Drama
This exciting initiative is designed specifically to support young people in rural Neston, offering them access to free, professionally-led performing arts workshops. With a firm commitment to inclusive, high-quality arts education, the project aims to nurture essential life skills. Participants will develop confidence, communication, teamwork, and creativity through a range of engaging activities, including improvisation and vocal technique exercises.
The sessions are open to all young people in School Years six to 13 (ages 11–18), and no previous experience is necessary. Led by experienced theatre practitioners, the workshops will explore a variety of valuable themes:
- Building confidence and self-esteem.
- Promoting creativity and self-expression.
- Fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Enhancing communication skills.
- Supporting health and wellbeing through creativity.
- Promoting positive relationships.
