Dudley Zoo Introduces £7 Admission for Benefit Claimants in March
Dudley Zoo has announced a special discounted entry offer, allowing visitors on specific benefits to access the attraction for just £7 throughout the entire month of March. This initiative aims to make the zoo more accessible to families and individuals facing financial challenges.
Eligible Benefits for the Discounted Offer
The reduced-price tickets are available to those receiving any of the following six benefits:
- Universal Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Employment and Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Jobseeker’s Allowance
To take advantage of this offer, households must pre-book their tickets online, as no discounted tickets will be sold at the admissions gate. A maximum of six tickets can be purchased per family, ensuring multiple members can enjoy the experience together.
Proof of Eligibility and Entry Requirements
Upon arrival, visitors must present proof of eligibility alongside a booking confirmation and valid identification. Acceptable documents include logging into the Universal Credit portal or providing a proof of Benefit Letter. It is crucial to note that failure to show the required documentation will result in denied entry.
The zoo has emphasized that tickets are limited for each day, so if a date is sold out, alternative dates should be considered. Additionally, all tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and they cannot be combined with other promotions, such as free carer offers.
Ticket Validity and Zoo Operating Hours
Tickets are valid for entry between 10 am and 12 pm daily throughout March. While visitors are not required to enter at the exact time specified on their ticket, they must arrive before the last admission at 3 pm. The zoo grounds close at 4:30 pm, allowing ample time for exploration.
Without this discount, standard pre-booked adult tickets cost £20.85, and children aged three to 15 are charged £15.40. Children under three continue to enjoy free entry, making the discounted offer a significant saving for eligible families.
This initiative reflects Dudley Zoo's commitment to community engagement and providing affordable leisure options during challenging economic times.
