The Prince and Princess of Wales are set for a significant visit to Scotland next week, with Kensington Palace confirming their itinerary for January 20.
Royal Itinerary: From the Ice to the Loom
William and Kate, who use the titles Duke and Duchess of Rothesay and Lord and Lady of the Isles when in Scotland, will first stop at the National Curling Academy in Stirling. There, they are scheduled to meet with both the Team GB and Paralympic GB Curling teams ahead of the upcoming Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Reports suggest the royal couple may even participate in a game on the ice during their visit.
Their engagement will then take a community-focused turn with a visit to Radical Weavers, a handweaving studio also located in Stirling. This organisation works to combat social isolation and support individuals affected by trauma or loss through the practice of traditional weaving.
A Continued Connection with Scotland
This trip continues the Waleses' pattern of regular visits to Scotland. Last year included a two-day trip to the Isle of Mull in April 2025, where they privately celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary. In May 2025, they were in Glasgow for the naming ceremony of the Royal Navy warship HMS Glasgow, which was conducted by the Princess.
The couple began their 2026 engagements with a surprise visit to Charing Cross Hospital in West London, where they spoke with staff about winter pressures on the NHS.
Next week's visit to Stirling and Falkirk underscores their ongoing commitment to supporting both national sporting aspirations and vital community-led initiatives across the United Kingdom.
