Actress Alex Kingston received a heartwarming surprise from her husband following her elimination from Strictly Come Dancing last weekend.
The 62-year-old star of ER and Doctor Who, who was partnered with professional dancer Johannes Radebe, narrowly missed out on a place in the quarter-finals after the public vote on Sunday, 1 December.
A Secret Revealed on It Takes Two
Appearing on the BBC's companion show It Takes Two on Monday, Kingston shared the touching news with host Fleur East. She revealed that her husband, Jonathan, had been keeping a secret from her for weeks.
"I found out on Sunday, my husband, he said to me that he'd been, he'd kept a secret from me," Kingston explained emotionally. "He has been taking, for the last five weeks, Salsa lessons. So he's been learning Salsa so he could be my partner."
Fleur East was visibly moved by the revelation, responding: "Oh goodness you're going to break me tonight! I just love what Strictly has given you because it's so much more than dancing."
