Love Island's Jack Keating reveals dad Ronan's one rule: 'No sex on TV'
Jack Keating reveals dad Ronan's one rule for Love Island

As Love Island All Stars prepares to return to screens in 2026, contestant Jack Keating has disclosed the crucial piece of advice given to him by his superstar father, Ronan Keating.

The Famous Family Rule

In a recent interview with The Mirror, Jack revealed that while his dad is excited about his second stint on the popular ITV dating show, the former Boyzone singer laid down one non-negotiable guideline. The sole rule from Ronan is "no sex on TV", a clear boundary set despite his overall support for Jack's return to the villa.

Jack explained his father's heightened enthusiasm for the All Stars series compared to his first appearance in 2022. "He's more excited now than he was the last time," Jack stated. "I think he was s------- himself a bit the first time because I had no experience with like media, TV, anything in the spotlight."

A Glimpse Behind the Celebrity Curtain

While being the eldest child of a 90s pop icon has its advantages, Jack has previously spoken about the less glamorous aspects of fame. In a 2025 interview clip, he admitted it took him until adulthood to fully comprehend the "dark side behind the scenes" of the entertainment industry.

This was thrown into sharp focus during his parents' high-profile divorce in 2010. Recalling that difficult period, Jack described the intense media scrutiny: "Paparazzi outside the door every day, [We] couldn't leave the house for like two weeks. Like, you almost feel like other people's property."

Who is Ronan Keating?

Jack's father, Ronan Keating, rose to fame as the youngest member of the massively successful boy band Boyzone, formed by Louis Walsh in 1993. During his six years with the group, they scored numerous UK chart-topping hits.

Ronan has since enjoyed a prolific solo career and has also served as a judge on The X Factor Australia. He shares three children – Jack, Missy, and Ali – with his ex-wife Yvonne Connolly, from whom he divorced in 2010. He has two more children with his current wife, Storm Keating.

Jack first revealed his famous parentage during Love Island 2022 to fellow islander Gemma Owen, who also hails from a well-known family. His upcoming appearance on Love Island All Stars 2026 marks his return to the reality TV franchise that first introduced him to the public.
