Coleen Nolan was met with an uncomfortable silence from her children during the latest episode of their Nolans Uncensored podcast after she quipped that they are living off her celebrity status.
The 61-year-old Loose Women panelist hosts the weekly podcast alongside her eldest son, Shane Richie Jr, and daughter, Ciara Fensome. In the recent episode, the trio reflected on their teenage years, discussing mistakes they made and advice for their younger selves.
GCSEs and Teenage Mischief
After Shane admitted to frequently skipping school in year 11, the conversation turned to the importance of exams. Coleen insisted GCSEs are vital, but Ciara argued that exam pressure can be overwhelming and that success isn't always measured by grades.
The discussion then shifted to teenage mischief, with Shane and Ciara sharing stories from their youth. Coleen revealed that as a mother of a teenage son, she would regularly accompany Shane and his friends to a sexual health clinic for check-ups.
Coleen's Blunt Joke
Delivering a serious message, Coleen emphasized: 'Can I just say, safe sex is good and doing your GCSEs and revising is also really good!' She then added, 'So ignore my children, because you're right, they live off my f*****g fame and I pay for most of it!'
As Coleen burst into laughter, her children looked at her in shock before Shane replied, 'Do you know what hurts the most, it's f*****g true!'
Family Dynamics
Coleen shares Shane and her second son, Jake Roche, with ex-husband Shane Richie, while Ciara is from her marriage to Ray Fensome. During the same podcast episode, Coleen made her feelings clear about her first husband when Shane mentioned a family holiday.
Shane revealed he was heading off with his father after recording, prompting Coleen to say she was jealous. When Shane joked, 'I'm going with dad, wanna come?' Coleen quickly replied, 'No!'
Beyond her three children, Coleen is also a grandmother to four grandchildren. Shane has two children, Jake welcomed his first child in 2024, and Ciara became a first-time mother to a baby boy last year.
