Come Dine With Me Star Reveals Surprising Truth

Levi Williams, 34, a familiar face from Channel 4 shows such as Celebs Go Dating and Married at First Sight: Unveiled, is set to appear in the latest series of Come Dine With Me. The Wolverhampton native has shared a surprising insight about the show that viewers may not know.

From Hospitality to Reality TV

Levi, who has worked in hospitality since the age of 16, learned to cook by watching chefs. His culinary creations, often shared on Instagram and Snapchat, prompted friends to urge him to apply for the show. After multiple friends sent him a Facebook casting call, he decided to take the plunge.

"I've done quite a few TV bits which has allowed me to explore my space and it's always nice to have a bit of extra money," Levi said, referring to his previous appearances on MTV's Love Squad and Channel 4's The Bridge.

The Real Focus of the Show

Levi revealed that the show is less about food and more about the personalities involved. "It surprised me how little it was focused on food. It is an entertainment show and after all, we are all characters and that is why we were cast," he explained. "I think the food is very secondary to the drama that happens on the show."

A Long Filming Process

He also noted the extensive filming schedule. "They come to your house at around 7am to see the food prop. Everything you do they have to film from multiple angles. People then come to your house for around 4pm and they don't leave until around 1am, so it's a long week."

Levi got along well with his co-stars, all from the West Midlands, but remains in the dark about their confessionals until his episodes air later this year. He is also set to appear on Channel 4's The Jury.
