In a quest for the ultimate luxury bath experience, I tested products from four renowned brands: Aromatherapy Associates, Molton Brown, L'Occitane, and Jo Malone. Each brand promises a spa-like escape, but the results were surprising.
Aromatherapy Associates
Known for their essential oil blends, Aromatherapy Associates offers the Deep Relax Bath & Shower Oil. The scent is calming, with notes of chamomile and sandalwood. It left my skin feeling soft, but the oil didn't disperse well in the water, leaving a residue. Price: £45.
Molton Brown
Molton Brown's Rosa Absolue Bath & Shower Gel is a floral delight. The fragrance is rich and long-lasting. The gel creates a luxurious lather, and the moisturizing formula left my skin hydrated. Price: £25.
L'Occitane
L'Occitane's Almond Shower Oil is a cult favorite. It transforms into a milky foam that cleanses without stripping moisture. The almond scent is subtle yet comforting. Price: £20.
Jo Malone
Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir Bath Oil is intense and exotic. The oil is highly concentrated, so a little goes a long way. The scent is powerful and lingers, but it can be overwhelming. Price: £42.
After testing all four, my favorite was Molton Brown. It offered the best balance of scent, lather, and skin feel at a reasonable price. The Aromatherapy Associates oil was disappointing given its cost. L'Occitane is a great budget-friendly option, while Jo Malone is for those who love strong fragrances.
