Mega Mountain Slide Returns Near Birmingham for Bank Holiday

The Mega Slide Mountain is back in the Midlands for the Bank Holiday weekend. The ginormous dry-tube sliding system is said to be the longest mega slide in the UK.

Towering over 30ft, attraction bosses say the 200ft double lane slide is powered with a 'super slip-inducing solution' that 'propels riders down' at speeds of 'over 12 miles per hour'.

It is located at the National Forest Adventure Farm in Staffordshire. From the top, riders can enjoy views across the entire 40-acre attraction as well as miles of surrounding countryside.

Ivor Robinson, who runs the family farm park with his brother Tom, said: “The Mega Slide is a great thrill-seeking activity which hasn’t traditionally been available outside of large ski slope attractions. There is nowhere else in the UK you can experience this tube sliding fun and we are looking forward to seeing it being a firm favourite for families again this year.”

The Mega Mountain Slide will be available at the farm park in Tatenhill, Burton on Trent from Saturday, May 2 to Monday, May 4. The farm offers many other activities, including animals to meet, a barrel stampede ride, outdoor go-karts, guinea pig petting, jumping pillows, JCB big dig zone, musical maze, Jurassic sand play and fossil dig, and mini quad bikes. Height restrictions apply for the slide.
