The Book Nut is delighted to announce its Grand Opening this weekend in South Woodham Ferrers Town Centre. Positioned near the schools, Library and Post Office at 24 Heralds Way, South Woodham Ferrers, The Book Nut will be a welcoming and cosy space for book lovers and creatives of all ages. With shelves of curated books and gifts, toys and stationery, there is something for everyone. Going forward, there will be regular reading clubs, artist groups, workshops and author events to engage the local community.
A Passion for Books
Hazel Murrell, owner of The Book Nut, said: “Setting up The Book Nut for our home town has been an absolute joy. I bring with me a background rich with books, from working in school libraries to bookselling. I have poured my knowledge and passion into bringing an independent bookshop to South Woodham Ferrers, a community who has welcomed the idea with support, warmth and enthusiasm.”
National Year of Reading
“As it is the National Year of Reading, research repeatedly highlights the importance of reading, set against the distractions and addiction of social media. It feels like a critical time to open a bookshop, to provide more opportunities to discover new books and social events to encourage reading. I cannot wait to welcome our customers and share The Book Nut with them.”
Grand Opening Details
The Grand Opening will take place at 10am on Saturday, April 25 at 24 Heralds Way, South Woodham Ferrers, CM3 5TQ. The Town Mayor, Alan Shearring, will be in attendance to officially open the bookshop.
