An exciting American garage-punk band is making its way to the UK this spring for a debut tour across the Atlantic. The Downstrokes will perform a series of shows to celebrate their latest album and the 50th anniversary of punk rock.
The tour kicks off in Edinburgh on May 28, before the band travels south to conclude with a show in London. Known for their high-energy performances, the rockers have already released four albums and several EPs in the United States. Vocalist and rhythm guitarist Gerry LaFemina shared his excitement: "We'll travel for rock 'n' roll. We love playing for new audiences, and this is the furthest we've ever gone. We're super excited to bring our raucous mayhem to the UK and introduce everyone to the songs on The Furious Hours."
Their latest single, titled (Right Turn) Wrong Way Again, is available now on all major music streaming platforms. The band will be joined on the road by The Longshots, a popular group from Stockport known for their catchy melodies.
