St Francis of Assisi Catholic College Achieves Top Ofsted Grades in Walsall
St Francis of Assisi Catholic College Gets Top Ofsted Grades

St Francis of Assisi Catholic College in Aldridge, Walsall, has received outstanding inspection grades from Ofsted, placing it among the top secondary schools in the West Midlands. The school achieved 'strong standard' ratings in five out of six main areas, just one step below the highest possible grade of 'exceptional', which is rarely awarded.

Inspection Results

The results were published following a recent inspection. Ofsted's report highlighted that pupils, including those who may face barriers to their learning, achieve very well. Increasingly, this is reflected in the outcomes pupils achieve in national examinations. The report also noted an impressive culture of high attendance at the Aldridge school.

New Ofsted Grading System

Ofsted recently overhauled its inspection process, moving away from a single-word overall rating to a system that provides ratings across a range of areas. This change was implemented to address concerns that the previous system was unfair. St Francis of Assisi Catholic College is now recognized among the best secondary schools in the region under this new framework.
