Alfred Works Food Hall Unveils Diverse Vendor Line-Up Ahead of Opening
The new Digbeth food hall, Alfred Works, has revealed an exciting line-up of independent vendors, showcasing a wide array of global flavours as it prepares to open its doors later this month in February 2026. Managed by Blend Family, the venue is located at the reimagined Custard Factory site and spans over 17,500 square feet of indoor space.
Vendor Highlights and Global Offerings
Alfred Works will feature 15 kitchens, a large outdoor courtyard, social gaming areas, family-friendly zones, and a major events space along the River Rea. Named after Alfred Bird, the inventor of custard powder, the hall is designed to bring the whole city together over food, culture, and connection.
The vendor line-up includes:
- Jimmy’s Burgers: Serving indulgent comfort food.
- That Ziki: Offering authentic Greek gyros.
- Clapping Seoul: Making its Birmingham debut with modern fusion Korean street food.
- That Kick: Providing bold, halal Pan‑Asian dishes inspired by over seven countries.
- FUKU: Founded in Manchester, this vendor brings Asian fusion street food based on family recipes.
- Little Penang: Hailing from Sheffield, it serves Malaysian Chinese hawker food reminiscent of Penang Island.
- Esmie’s Caribbean Fusion: A Brummie favourite celebrating Caribbean street food.
- Sapore: Bringing Italian classics to the hall.
- Tai Wei: Offering Chinese-inspired wok-cooked and steamed dishes.
- Fuego 1987: Introducing Mexican-inspired dishes to Birmingham.
- House of Habesha: Featuring delicious East African flavours.
- Baity: Championing Palestinian flavours in Birmingham for the first time.
- Milkcake Man: Serving signature milk cakes, matcha, mocktails, and chocolate-covered strawberries.
- Blend Family’s Coffee Bar: Making its first standalone appearance with craft coffee and baked goods.
