Tesco's Kids Eat Free Scheme Returns for February Half-Term

Tesco has officially confirmed to Birmingham Live that its popular Kids Eat Free scheme will be returning to The Café for the upcoming February half-term. This policy change is set to provide significant support for shoppers visiting with children during the school break.

How the Offer Works

The scheme will be available in 332 Tesco stores across the UK that feature either The Café or Coffee Shop. Customers can secure one free Kids meal by making any adult purchase and scanning their Tesco Clubcard. The minimum spend required is just 65p, making it an accessible option for families on tight budgets.

Important Note: The offer is valid from Monday, February 16, through Friday, February 20, in England and Wales. It excludes weekends, so planning visits during weekdays is essential to take advantage of the deal.

Menu Options Available

Tesco's cafes will offer a variety of meal choices for children under this scheme:

  • Kids Hot Meal Deal: Options include Omega 3 Fish Fingers, Baked Chicken Strips, and Pork Sausages.
  • Kids Breakfast: Selections such as Egg & Soldiers, Beans & Soldiers, and Pancakes.
  • Kids Pick ‘n’ Mix: This healthy option includes a sandwich, a drink, two snacks, and a piece of fresh fruit, providing balanced nutrition from breakfast until dinner.

Supporting Families During School Holidays

Claire De Silva, Head of Communities at Tesco, emphasized the company's commitment to helping families. "We know that household budgets can be really stretched over school holidays, so offering free meals to children during this time is just one of the ways we can support families," she stated.

This initiative is part of Tesco's broader efforts to assist families in managing costs. In addition to the Kids Eat Free scheme, customers can exchange Clubcard vouchers with Tesco Reward Partners like PizzaExpress and Cineworld for additional savings during the half-term break.

Tesco also highlighted its ongoing value strategies, including Aldi Price Match, Clubcard Prices, and Everyday Low Prices, ensuring that all customers receive great value year-round.

The return of the Kids Eat Free scheme underscores Tesco's dedication to community support, particularly during periods when families face increased financial pressures. With stores across Birmingham and nationwide, this offer is poised to benefit numerous households seeking affordable dining options during the school holiday.
