Co-op has announced a new partnership with Deliveroo to offer £3 surprise bags for shoppers, available from Wednesday, June 10. The supermarket giant, which competes with Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, and Asda, has teamed up with the food delivery service to launch the "Second Chance Saver Bags."
What Are Second Chance Saver Bags?
Each bag contains a mix of six to eight fruit and vegetable items that are nearing the end of their shelf life but are still good to eat. Priced at just £3, the bags could contain products with an original value of up to approximately £32, depending on the contents. This initiative aims to help shoppers save money, eat healthily, and reduce food waste.
Where Is the Trial Available?
The trial includes stores in Worcester and Loughborough in the Midlands, as well as branches in Brighton, Crawley, Chelmsford, Fareham, Goole, Horsham, Huddersfield, London, Manchester, Newbury, Sheffield, and Wakefield. The full list of participating stores is available on the Co-op website.
