The West Midlands has been hit by a deluge of rain, with Birmingham at the centre of a weekend washout prompting official flood warnings.
Weather Warnings and Flood Alerts
The Met Office has confirmed a wet and windy outlook for the region on Saturday, November 22, with further unsettled conditions expected on Sunday, November 23. In response, the Environment Agency has issued five flood alerts. One of these warnings covers the River Lugg in the south of Leominster in Herefordshire, indicating a significant risk of localised flooding.

According to the Met Office, Saturday started wet and windy but was expected to turn drier later, mainly by late afternoon. Winds were also forecast to ease, making it feel less cold than recent days, with a maximum temperature of 8°C.
The evening was predicted to be mostly dry, but heavy and blustery showers were set to return by Sunday morning. Overnight, a minimum temperature of 3°C was expected.
Sunday morning was described as unsettled with outbreaks of rain and brisk winds. The forecast suggested conditions would brighten up towards lunchtime and for the afternoon, albeit with the odd shower. The temperature was due to return to average, with a maximum of 9°C.
