The UK's product safety regulator has issued an urgent warning to shoppers who may have purchased two specific items from Amazon, labelling them as high-risk goods that have now been removed from sale.
What Products Have Been Recalled?
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) flagged the Enjoy & Love Kids Trampoline with Safety Net 55" and A4R Water Beads on December 24, 2025. Both products, which originated from China, were being sold via the Amazon marketplace before the intervention.
The OPSS has taken decisive action, resulting in the items being rejected at the border and their listings removed from Amazon. Consumers are now being urged to check their homes for these dangerous products.
Specific Dangers and Safety Failures
The Trampoline: A Serious Injury Risk
The children's trampoline was found to present a high risk of injuries. According to the official recall notice, the product lacks essential safety warnings and fails to provide adequate visibility for safe access.
A critical design flaw involves the zip closure. "The zip closure access is black, matching the rest of the enclosure netting, making it difficult to distinguish and potentially unsafe in emergency situations," the OPSS stated.
Furthermore, the enclosure does not meet the minimum specified height requirement, significantly increasing the risk of falls. Due to these multiple failures, the product does not comply with the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
The Water Beads: A Choking Hazard
The A4R Water Beads pose a different but equally severe threat. The OPSS explains that the product presents a high risk of asphyxiation to young children.
If swallowed in their hydrated form, the beads can expand and block a child's airway, leading to a life-threatening situation. This product fails to meet the safety standards outlined in the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
What Should Owners Do Now?
The OPSS has issued clear instructions for anyone who has purchased either item:
- Stop using the trampoline immediately.
- Keep the water beads out of the reach of children.
- Contact the distributor you purchased from to request redress or advice on disposal.
This recall serves as a stark reminder for online shoppers to remain vigilant about product safety, especially when purchasing items intended for children. Always check for known recalls and ensure products carry appropriate UK safety marks and warnings.
