Emergency Response at Stafford McDonald's
Emergency services rushed to a McDonald's restaurant on Eccleshall Road in Stafford on Monday evening after receiving reports of a medical emergency. The incident occurred at approximately 6.20pm on November 17, prompting a significant response from paramedics.
Paramedics' Efforts to Save Man
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed they were called to the location, also identified as Stafford Trade Centre on Stone Road, at 6.21pm. A full emergency team was dispatched, including an ambulance, two paramedic officers, and a critical care paramedic.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a man in a critical condition. They immediately began administering advanced life support in an attempt to stabilise him. Despite their extensive efforts, the situation could not be reversed.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service stated: "Sadly, nothing could be done to save the man, and he was confirmed dead on scene a short time later."
Police Confirm Death Not Suspicious
Staffordshire Police were subsequently notified and attended the scene. They confirmed that they were called at 7.10pm to reports of a man in cardiac arrest at the fast-food outlet.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: "We are not treating the man’s death as suspicious and a report will be prepared for HM Coroner." This indicates that the focus is now on understanding the medical circumstances that led to the tragic outcome.
