Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona has revealed she's following strict medical instructions after undergoing her fifth breast surgery, just months after her previous cosmetic procedure.
Corrective Surgery Required After Scar Tissue Complications
The 45-year-old celebrity underwent what she described as corrective surgery after experiencing complications from her fourth breast enhancement procedure in August. Kerry had torn scar tissue on her chest, requiring immediate medical intervention to address the issue.
In her exclusive column for new! magazine, Kerry explained the situation: "I haven't been up to much this week in terms of work because I've been under doctor's orders to rest after having surgery on my breasts. I had ruptured the tissue after having breast implants because I didn't rest enough after having the implants put in in the first place."
Timing Around UK Tour Completion
The surgery took place at a carefully planned time, following the completion of Kerry's UK tour with friend Katie Price. The successful series of shows concluded just last week, allowing Kerry to schedule the necessary procedure without professional commitments.
Back in October, while still on tour, Kerry had shared her concerns about the upcoming operation: "At the time of writing this, I've finally got a weekend off from the tour - which is a rare occasion. It will be nice to have a few days in my own bed, but it's not going to be a relaxed weekend, unfortunately."
She had described feeling "a little nervewracking" about her pre-op appointment, acknowledging that the need for additional surgery was "my own fault" for not resting sufficiently after her previous procedure.
Partner's Support During Recovery
Kerry has been full of praise for her boyfriend Paolo Margaglione, whom she met on Celebs Go Dating earlier this year. The couple have been navigating the recovery process together, with Paolo providing constant support throughout the medical journey.
"Paolo has been so supportive and amazing the entire journey through with my surgery and recovery," Kerry gushed. "He was there when I went down for surgery and when I woke up. I really do love that man!"
The couple are now looking forward to their first Christmas together, with Kerry describing it as "a real special one" as they merge their families for the holiday season.

Kerry's recent surgical journey began with her fourth breast augmentation in August, which involved both a lift and new implants. The decision came after significant weight loss following her breakup with Ryan Mahoney in November last year, which saw her shrink to a size six.
In March, the star had expressed her desire to return to her original figure, stating: "I just want my own boobs back. I don't want massive boobs or anything really fake, just my boobs again!"
Now recovering at home, Kerry is taking her doctor's orders seriously and ensuring she gets the proper rest she needs this time around. The star joked about her appearance before the corrective procedure, noting: "My chest looks a little cross-eyed at the moment!"
