Free outdoor yoga sessions have returned to a popular park near Birmingham, offering a chance to unwind in nature. The national charity Park Yoga is hosting weekly sessions at East Park in Wolverhampton every Sunday from 9:30am to 10:30am until September 13.
No Booking Needed
The sessions are open to people of all ages and abilities, and there is no need to book in advance. Participants are advised to bring a yoga mat or a towel if they don't have one.
Councillor Obaida Ahmed, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Community, said: "Yoga is great for enhancing your mood, reducing stress levels and improving your muscle strength and flexibility. We hope these sessions will encourage people to take the time to look after their own wellbeing through being active and enjoying the benefits of being outdoors, and I'd encourage everyone to join in the fun."
Beginner-Friendly Environment
Park Yoga Instructor Deb Sahota added: "Sessions are beginner friendly and our participants don't have to do all the movements - quite often we'll have yogis who lie or sit in nature for the hour! Whatever your ability, we'd love as many people as possible from your community group to join us."
These free sessions provide an excellent opportunity for residents to improve their physical and mental health while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of East Park. Whether you are a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, everyone is welcome to participate.
