Katie Price has expressed astonishment at her son Harvey's significant weight loss journey, revealing he has shed an impressive five stone without using weight loss injections.
Social Media Revelation
The mother-of-five shared her excitement about Harvey's progress through her Snapchat account, posting photographs that clearly showed her eldest son's transformed appearance. One particularly striking image featured 23-year-old Harvey standing on bathroom scales, with Katie writing enthusiastically alongside the post: "I can't believe this is how much Harv weighs now!"
Katie further demonstrated the scale of his achievement by sharing a screenshot showing the scales displaying 161.5kg, providing concrete evidence of his remarkable weight loss journey.
Podcast Discussion and Medical Background
During a recent episode of The Katie Price Show podcast with her sister Sophie, Katie provided more details about Harvey's ongoing progress. Sophie inquired: "Last I heard, he lost 22lbs, is he still going?" to which Katie responded: "He's lost a stone and a half. I can notice it on his chest, but not the belly yet."
The former glamour model also discussed Harvey's complex medical situation, noting that he lives with several conditions including Prader-Willi Syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes excessive appetite and weight gain challenges.
Future Treatment Possibilities
Katie elaborated on potential future treatments during her podcast, revealing: "He's not started fat jabs. There are talks of fat jabs – of Mounjaro – for him."
She explained that medical professionals are considering a new approach: "But when he was there, they've actually got a new weight loss drug coming out, and it's new. They've clinically tested it on people and they've got a few people they're putting it on first."
The planned treatment strategy appears carefully considered: "And if it works, then Harvey can go on it in the new year. But they want him to start the Mounjaro. Because if he goes on Mounjaro first and then goes onto this new one, it will work a lot quicker."
Katie emphasised that the delay in starting medication was intentional: "The reason he hasn't started Mounjaro yet is because they were trying to get him to lose weight through his diet, to try all avenues."
This comprehensive approach demonstrates the careful management of Harvey's health condition while celebrating his significant achievement through dietary changes alone.
