Critical Allergen Warning Ahead of Christmas
The recall notice, issued just days before Christmas, warns shoppers not to eat the affected items. The products, which include fish pies, various fillets, and prawns, may contain barley (gluten), crustaceans, egg, fish, milk, mustard, soya, and wheat (gluten). Crucially, these ingredients are not listed on the packaging, creating a significant hazard.
The company has stated that the items present a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to crustaceans, fish, soya, or mustard. They are also dangerous for those with an allergy or intolerance to egg, milk or milk constituents, cereals containing gluten, or for individuals with coeliac disease.
