'Do Not Eat' Warning Issued for Popular Christmas Treats
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an urgent 'do not eat' warning for three Christmas products from the company Flapjackery. This product recall was initiated due to a serious allergy concern, as the items were found to contain undeclared almonds.
Which Products Are Affected by the Recall?
The recall affects specific batches of three festive favourites, all with a best before date of March 2026. Customers are urged to check their purchases for the following items:
- Mince Pie Crumble Flapjack (170g)
- Flapjackery Christmas Towers box (6x85g)
- Flapjackery Rudolph box (6x170g)
The company has stated that any Mince Pie Crumble product bought between November 1 and November 19, 2025, should be returned. This poses a significant health risk for individuals with an allergy to almonds or a broader treenut allergy.
What Should Customers Do Now?
If you have purchased any of the listed products, the advice is clear. Do not consume them if you have a nut allergy. Instead, take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
For further information, customers can contact Flapjackery directly via email at enquiries@flapjackery.co.uk or by calling their customer service line on 01822 258008.
Flapjackery has 16 branches across Britain, including locations in Tavistock, Plymouth, Bristol, and Bath, and also ships products nationwide, meaning the recall has a wide-reaching impact.
