Prince Harry urged to communicate directly to mend royal feud with William
Harry must communicate directly to mend royal feud

The ongoing rift between Prince Harry and Prince William continues to dominate royal discussions, with experts suggesting that direct communication remains the only path toward reconciliation between the brothers.

Recent tensions highlight communication breakdown

Palace insiders reportedly raised eyebrows when the Duke of Sussex travelled to Canada for Remembrance Sunday events, creating what some described as a "faux royal tour" that coincided with Prince William's trip to Brazil for the annual Earthshot Prize awards.

While Harry's spokesman confirmed that Palace communications had been informed about the upcoming tour, The Times reported that questions emerged within the Firm about whether the memo had actually been sent, as no-one appeared to have received it.

This incident represents just the latest in a series of diary clashes between the brothers over recent years, highlighting the ongoing coordination issues since Harry stepped back from royal duties.

Expert opinion on reconciliation prospects

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has weighed in on the situation, emphasizing that Harry needs to establish proper communication channels with his family if there's any hope of mending their fractured relationships.

"Well, they do need to get their ducks lined up if there is to be any possibility of a reconciliation," Bond stated. "I still think the chances of the rift between William and Harry being mended any time soon are extremely remote."

Despite the pessimism about immediate resolution, Bond acknowledged that the brothers need to coordinate better on royal events to avoid further public clashes.

Security concerns complicate scheduling

Sources close to Harry have explained that the timing of his announcement - which coincided with Prince William's arrival in Rio - was unavoidable due to security considerations.

The Duke of Sussex lost his security protection when he left his role as a working royal, meaning the times in which Harry and Meghan can release details of their events are much shorter than for the King or William.

The Sussexes' team maintained they were purely guided by advice from their private security advisors when planning the Canada trip.

Meanwhile, there have been some positive developments in other royal relationships. Harry has begun mending his relationship with King Charles, with the pair reuniting for a private tea at Clarence House in September according to Mirror reports.

Earlier this year, rumours also emerged that Harry had offered to share his diary with the Royal Family to avoid stealing the limelight at high-profile appearances, though it's unclear if this offer was taken up.

Jennie Bond noted that while Harry attempted to be sensitive by issuing his Remembrance Day essay the day before the Earthshot Awards, it still created "an unhelpful distraction" from William's important environmental initiative.

She added: "It seems clear the King is willing to have some sort of relationship with Harry. I suppose there will inevitably be some diary clashes, but it did seem ridiculous that Harry's trip to Canada should coincide with one of the most important and major events of William's year."
