Man Dies After Fall in Birmingham City Centre Building

West Midlands Police have confirmed that a man has died after falling from a height inside a building in Birmingham city centre.

Emergency services were called to Colmore Row shortly after 6pm on Sunday, May 3, following reports of a casualty inside a building.

Upon arrival, they found a man in his 40s who had fallen from a number of floors. He was immediately taken to hospital but sadly later died. Police have stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We were called to Colmore Row, Birmingham city centre, at around 6.20pm yesterday (3 May) after a man fell a number of floors within a building.

“The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital but has since sadly died. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this awful time.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
