Dr Amos Ogunkoya, known for his appearance on the first series of BBC's The Traitors, has shared his advice for those taking part in the Great Birmingham Run this year. The doctor, who completed the London Marathon last year, urged runners to 'enjoy the run' and celebrate their achievement.
'Enjoy it. It's a great achievement, it's a great experience. I would say fuel properly,' he said. He also advised participants to carb load beforehand and eat nutritious dense foods.
Dr Amos highlighted a crucial tip based on his own mistake before the London Marathon: 'Don't change your shoes like I did the day before because that will hurt, but enjoy it and just be proud of what your body can do.'
