Channel Rotary Adventure Golf Competition Returns to Folkestone Harbour Arm
Rotary Adventure Golf Returns to Folkestone

The Channel Rotary Adventure Golf Competition returns for its second year this July at Beachside, Folkestone Harbour Arm. This is an intriguing putting competition around a tricky course—not a fairground minigolf, but one with bunkers and undulating greens. While it is fun for everyone, participants will need some skill and a little bit of luck.

Who Can Enter?

Anyone can enter individually or as part of a team of four. The best individuals will go on to compete in a final at the end. Teams can be from golf clubs, local businesses, or family groups. Mixed teams are also very welcome.

Veterans Have a Strong Chance

Rotary organiser Colin Tomson believes that a veterans' team has a good chance of winning, even against a group of low handicappers. He said: “Many veterans have steady nerves and, after years of practice, can be very competitive. I hope my club, Sene Valley, will put in a number of teams.”

Path to Championships

Adventure golf has both a UK and a world championship with serious prize money, and top competitors are handicapped just as in regular golf. Starting local could lead to bigger opportunities.

Course and Costs

The attractive 12-hole beachside course provides fabulous views. All equipment and refreshments are available on site. Entry costs just £10 per person. Anyone beating the target score of 26 can compete in the individual final at around 7pm.
