The Cheshire Championships concluded over a thrilling final weekend, marking an extraordinary three-week period for Halton's Anthony Wawrzyniak. He emerged as the undisputed age group winner, amassing a staggering total of 13 gold medals. Across 22 individual events, including nine finals, Wawrzyniak achieved 21 personal bests, securing 20 first-place finishes and two second places in the heats.

Supporting Cast Shines in Medal Haul

Wawrzyniak received strong support from teammates, with Jacob Agate adding a silver and a bronze to his collection. In the 50m Freestyle, Meg MacAllister claimed silver, while Freya Karaski earned bronze. Wirral Metro's Abbie Roscoe, showing no fatigue from her recent European trip, contributed two golds and a silver. Hope Birley-Brown secured another three golds, and multiple medals were picked up by Ben Stephenson, Ava Halliwell, Harper Aspinall, Vivien Wilkinson, Petra Varga, and Lauren Berry. The concluding weekend of the Lancashire Championships saw City of Liverpool's Matilda Bristow excel, picking up four golds and two bronze medals, all in personal best times. Club colleague Rose Nickson added three golds, a silver, and a bronze to her collection. Other notable performances included a gold and silver for George Pearce, two silvers for Kerry Hennie, and silvers for Myles Best and Tilly Stevens. Sophie Dowding earned bronze in the 1500m Freestyle with a personal best.

Everton was well-represented, with Dylan Harte claiming three golds and two silvers. James Grant achieved six personal bests, resulting in two golds and a bronze.
