Launceston College Swimmer Achieves County Championship Success

A young swimmer from Launceston College, which is part of the Athena Learning Trust, is making significant waves in the sporting community after clinching multiple titles at the Devon County Championships. Callum Davies, aged 14, delivered an exceptional performance that has garnered widespread recognition.

Outstanding Performance at Devon County Championships

Callum secured gold medals in the 400m Individual Medley, 200m Freestyle, 800m Freestyle, and 1500m Freestyle events. His victories highlight not only his natural talent but also his unwavering dedication to the sport. To maintain his competitive edge, Callum trains rigorously six days a week, including double sessions every Monday and Thursday.

This demanding schedule requires him to balance early morning practices, extensive hours in the pool, academic responsibilities at school, and essential recovery time. His ability to manage these commitments showcases a level of discipline that is rare for someone his age.
