Birmingham Airport provides two distinct fast track systems tailored for departing and arriving passengers. The service is exclusively available to pre-booked customers, holidaymakers with eligible tickets, and limited on-the-day purchases at the airport.
How to Purchase Fast Track at Birmingham Airport
The Express Lane can only be booked through the Birmingham Airport website. It cannot be purchased via third-party companies. Customers can buy tickets directly on the airport's official site.
Fast Track Costs
Departure fast track costs £7.00 per person, while arrivals fast track is priced at £20.00 per person. When spending over £99 at World Duty Free stores using an Express Lane voucher, customers receive 10% off. However, this discount excludes Chanel products, Macallan whiskies, and all tobacco products. The maximum discount is £20 and does not apply to products already on promotion.
Express Lane Security (Departures)
This service provides access to a dedicated, shorter queue at security screening, bypassing standard lines. It is only available for Zone B Security; there is no Express Lane for Zone A. Children aged 4 and under go free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Premium Arrivals Fast Track
For international arrivals, this service allows passengers to skip the main queue at passport control. Located at the UK Border Force checkpoint, passengers follow signs for 'Premium Fast Track' and scan their barcode at the automatic gate. It must be pre-booked online at least 24 hours in advance and cannot be purchased on the day. Capacity is strictly limited to 50 tickets per hour to keep queue times between 5 and 15 minutes. Unlike security, all passengers, including infants and children, require their own paid ticket and barcode for arrivals fast track.
