Jet2 has confirmed that holidaymakers with group bookings can pool their luggage weight allowances together. The Birmingham-based airline clarified the rule after a passenger queried whether individual bags must stay within the 22kg limit. Jet2 responded on X that groups can share their total weight allowance as long as no single bag exceeds 32kg.

"Yes you are able to pool your luggage providing you do not go over your overall weight limit and no one bag weighs more than 32kg," the airline confirmed. The airline added: "If one bag is slightly over, but others are under, you will still have room within your overall allowance and will not be charged."
New summer 2027 destination
Meanwhile, Jet2 has announced a new summer 2027 destination from Leeds Bradford Airport to Tivat, Montenegro. CEO Steve Heapy said the airline is "delighted to be offering holidaymakers in Yorkshire even more good news" with the new route. The announcement marks the first time Montenegro will have direct services from Leeds Bradford Airport and the Yorkshire region.
