Tragedy Strikes on School Journey
A community in Fife is in mourning today after a 15-year-old boy tragically died after falling ill on his school bus. The incident occurred on Monday, November 24, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene near the A92 Halbeath roundabout in Dunfermline, despite the best efforts of paramedics. Police Scotland confirmed they were called to the incident at approximately 1.45pm.
School Community in Mourning
Stephen Ross, the headteacher at Beath High School, where the boy was a pupil, issued a heartfelt statement expressing the profound impact of the loss. "We are all devastated by this news and our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones at this sensitive and difficult time," he said.
The school has immediately mobilised its support network to help students and staff cope with the tragedy. Mr Ross confirmed that the school is "arranging support across the school community providing space, time and help to those who need it."
