An 'old-school' Digbeth pub has been put on the market after permanently closing its doors. The Town Crier, located on MacDonald Street, is being sold with a guide price of £430,000.
Prime Corner Location
The neighbourhood pub occupies a prominent corner position in the area, offering buyers the chance to revitalise a building that has long served the community.
Kaine Arkinson, managing director of Shepherd Commercial, commented: "Digbeth has changed enormously over the last decade and shows no signs of slowing down. The level of investment coming into the area is remarkable, and we're seeing increasing demand from investors and owner-occupiers looking to secure property before values move further."
He added: "The Town Crier represents an opportunity to acquire a well-known local building in an area that continues to evolve at pace."
Future Uncertain
The property is being sold with vacant possession, creating opportunities for a variety of future uses, subject to necessary planning consents. It remains unclear whether the building will continue as a pub.
On Google Reviews, The Town Crier held a 4.4 out of five-star rating. Stephan James described it as: "Great place. Proper old school boozer." Aimé Webley added: "Great little backstreet boozer, no airs or graces. Good pool table and the regulars are a sound bunch. You just feel welcome even if you've never been in here before. Little gem of a place." Mark Hillman posted: "Nice people, good atmosphere, good beer. Had a good time, definitely going back."
