Taylor Wimpey Raises £4,185 for Youth Adventure Trust

Colleagues from a regional homebuilder have raised £4,185 for charity after taking part in an annual fundraising event. Now in its 12th year, the Taylor Wimpey Challenge has so far raised more than £1.6 million for the Youth Adventure Trust (YAT), a charity which inspires vulnerable young people through outdoor adventure, as well as other regional charities across the country.

On Saturday, May 16, more than 300 Taylor Wimpey employees, across 49 teams completed a hike along the north Devon coastline, followed by a series of competitive creative and strategic tasks. Money raised by the team from Taylor Wimpey South Wales will be donated to the YAT and Latch Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity.

Liz Reynolds, managing director at Taylor Wimpey South Wales, said: "The Taylor Wimpey Challenge is always a fantastic event. Not only does it bring together employees from across the business, but more importantly, it raises a huge amount of money for extremely worthy charities. This year has been no different and I’m extremely proud of our team for their effort in raising much needed donations for the YAT and Latch."

Mark Davey, chief executive officer at the Youth Adventure Trust, added: "It has been another fantastic year for the Taylor Wimpey Challenge, with all of the participants embracing the activities with camaraderie and a great sense of humour. As always, we’re very appreciative of their efforts in support of our mission to help young people fulfil their potential and lead positive lives. Funding from this year’s event will make a huge difference to us and we look forward to continuing our partnership into 2027."
