Pensioner Targeted After Cash Withdrawal

Police are hunting three men after a vulnerable 90-year-old man had £3,000 stolen from his car boot in broad daylight. The distressing incident occurred in Dudley town centre after the pensioner had just withdrawn the substantial sum of money.

West Midlands Police have released CCTV footage showing the moment the theft took place on Stone Street at approximately 10:20am on October 20. The victim, who relies on a walking stick for mobility, was captured on camera placing a blue packet containing the cash into his car boot before getting into the driver's seat.

Chilling CCTV Captures Brazen Theft

As the elderly man was still manoeuvring himself into the driving position, one of the suspects approached his vehicle. The man, wearing a cap, opened the boot slightly and removed the blue packet containing the £3,000 before calmly walking away from the scene.

Investigators believe the pensioner was followed to his car by three men after withdrawing the money. The CCTV evidence clearly shows all three individuals in the area immediately before the theft occurred.
