Armed police officers have arrested a suspect following a dramatic crash involving a stolen luxury car in Birmingham.
Luxury Car Spotted After Burglary
The incident began when West Midlands Police's Road Crime Team identified a Mercedes in the Alum Rock area. Authorities had only just received a report that the high-value vehicle had been taken during a burglary.
Crash and Arrest by Armed Officers
Upon being spotted by police, the driver of the Mercedes attempted to flee the scene. The vehicle subsequently crashed into parked cars before the driver abandoned it and ran away.
A swift search of the nearby area was conducted with the assistance of the force's firearms unit. A man was quickly located and arrested by armed officers close to the crash site on Tuesday, December 2.

West Midlands Police shared images of the damaged Mercedes and the arrest on social media platform X. The force's traffic account, WMP Traffic, provided a summary of the event, confirming the vehicle was identified shortly after the burglary report.
