Police have launched an attempted murder investigation following a violent incident in Birmingham which left a man with serious injuries.
Emergency Response on Tansley Road
West Midlands Police and ambulance crews were called to Tansley Road in the Kingstanding area at just before 10pm on Sunday, 28 December. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim who had sustained significant harm.
The injured man was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment. Authorities have confirmed his condition is serious but stable as they continue their enquiries.
Arrest and Road Closure
A swift police investigation led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder. He was also detained on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
The suspect remains in police custody and is expected to be questioned in due course. Meanwhile, a section of Tansley Road was sealed off as a crime scene.
The roadway was closed in both directions throughout Monday, with police officers remaining on the scene. Residents requiring access to their homes were escorted by police past the cordon. There is currently no indication of when the road will fully reopen.

West Midlands Police have issued a public appeal for information regarding the disturbing events on Tansley Road. A force spokesperson stated they are "working to establish exactly what happened".
