Susan Pryde, affectionately known as Sue, was reported missing on Friday, February 27. Since her disappearance, extensive search efforts were launched involving detectives, staff, and specialized teams utilizing drones and helicopters to cover the area.
Sadly, on Monday, March 9, a body was discovered near Stapenhill Road in Burton-on-Trent. Officers from Staffordshire Police attended the scene alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police confirmed the tragic development, stating: "We can sadly confirm that a body has been found in the search for missing 65-year-old Susan, from Yoxall. Susan Pryde, known as Sue, was reported missing on Friday 27 February."
The police added that formal identification will be conducted in due course, but they currently believe the woman to be Sue. At this stage, her death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
