Drug Dealer Sentenced After Car Park Discovery
A 23-year-old man from Staffordshire is now serving a prison sentence after organised crime officers uncovered a hidden stash of cocaine during a search of his vehicle.
Cristian Nascimento, who has no fixed address, was sitting in the driver's seat of his black Ford Fiesta when police approached him in a Cannock car park on Tuesday, July 29.
The Hidden Stash Uncovered
During a thorough search of the vehicle, officers made a significant discovery. They found multiple deals of cocaine concealed within the lining of the front passenger seat.
In addition to the class A drugs, police also seized £650 in cash and a mobile phone from the car. The discovery led to Nascimento's immediate arrest and subsequent charges.
Court Sentencing and Police Statement
At Stafford Crown Court on Friday, October 31, Nascimento admitted to possession of cocaine with intent to supply and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
The court handed down a prison sentence of one year and nine months.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police stated: "A drug dealer has been jailed after officers found cocaine hidden inside the seat of a car in Cannock." They emphasised the work of their major and organised crime proactive team in removing another dealer from the streets.
