The case continues to develop as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the vehicle mounting the pavement and the resulting injuries to multiple pedestrians.
Local residents and business owners in the vicinity have expressed shock at the severity of the incident, particularly given the timing on a Saturday evening when the area is typically busy with pedestrians. The Bishop Blaise pub, located at the scene of the collision, is a well-known establishment in Derby's social scene.
