Police in Northern Ireland have officially identified the victim of an alleged murder as 23-year-old Ellie Flanagan. The young woman was discovered at a property on Corban Avenue in Enniskillen during the evening of Saturday, March 7th.

A 45-year-old man, who authorities state was known to Ellie Flanagan, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and other related offences. He remains in police custody as of Monday, March 9th, with detectives granted an additional 36 hours to conduct their questioning.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Robinson, leading the investigation, expressed his condolences, stating: "Our thoughts are firmly with Ellie’s family and loved ones at this very distressing time." He emphasized the ongoing efforts to piece together the events leading to her death.

The investigation was initiated following a collision on Carn Road near Tempo at approximately 9:15 PM on Saturday. Officers attending that incident subsequently found Ellie Flanagan at the Corban Avenue location.
