Four 17-Year-Old Boys Arrested in Wolverhampton and Birmingham with 'Rambo Knife', Cash, and Drugs Found
Four 17-year-old boys have been arrested in Wolverhampton and Birmingham for various offences, including the recovery of a 'Rambo knife' by police officers during targeted patrols.
The West Midlands Police Guardian Taskforce conducted multiple arrests while patrolling the two cities on Thursday, March 24, 2026. In Wolverhampton's Queens Square, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class B drugs following a stop and search operation, where officers successfully recovered cannabis.
Another 17-year-old was detained from Victoria Square later that day at approximately 3.30 pm after a Rambo knife was discovered during searches. The boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife and has since been formally charged. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 15, 2026, to face the allegations.
In Birmingham, the police team made two additional arrests after seizing a large amount of cash in the city centre following patrols around Stephenson Square. Two boys, also aged 17, were stopped and searched, and thousands of pounds in cash was recovered during the operation. They were arrested and have since been released on bail pending further enquiries by the authorities.
The coordinated efforts by the West Midlands Police highlight ongoing concerns about knife crime and drug-related activities in the region, with these arrests underscoring the proactive measures being taken to address such issues in urban areas like Wolverhampton and Birmingham.
