Police Launch Unexplained Death Investigation

Staffordshire Police have opened an investigation after a man was discovered dead outside a property in Cannock. The body was found at approximately 4.30am on Saturday, 30 November on Longford Road.

Emergency services, including paramedics, rushed to the scene and attempted to resuscitate the man. Despite their efforts, he was confirmed deceased a short time later.

Appeal for Witnesses and Information

Authorities are currently treating the man's death as unexplained and are working to establish the full circumstances. The deceased, a man in his 40s, has had his next of kin informed. They are now receiving support from specially trained officers.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police stated: "We are keen to establish the circumstances leading up to his death. We are keeping an open mind at this stage."

The police are urging anyone with information to come forward. They are particularly interested in anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who may have relevant doorbell or dashcam footage from the past eight hours.

Increased Patrols to Reassure Community

In response to the incident, police patrols will be stepped up in the Cannock area over the coming days. This move is intended to provide reassurance to the local community and to assist with evidence gathering.
