Man suffers head injury in Acocks Green assault

An investigation is underway after a man suffered a potentially serious head injury during an assault in Acocks Green. West Midlands Police and paramedics were called to Warwick Road, near the Wetherspoons pub and shops, just before 8.50pm on Tuesday, May 26.

Victim Hospitalised

The victim, a man in his 40s, sustained potentially serious injuries and was transferred to hospital for further care. The area was cordoned off while police conducted their enquiries, according to local reports.

Police Appeal

West Midlands Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson said: 'We're investigating after a man is understood to have been assaulted on Warwick Road yesterday. We were called by ambulance service colleagues at around 9pm. A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with a head injury.'

West Midlands Ambulance Service added: 'We were called to Warwick Road, Acocks Green at 8.49pm. One ambulance attended and found a man who had sustained potentially serious injuries. He was given treatment on scene before being conveyed to hospital for further care.'
