Birmingham Murder Suspect Dahir Ali Still at Large 18 Months After Lozells Stabbing
A Birmingham murder suspect continues to evade authorities 18 months after a fatal stabbing incident in the Lozells area. Dahir Ali, aged 27, is actively sought by West Midlands Police in connection with the killing of Ekrimh Mena'a, who was 39 years old at the time of his death.
Details of the Fatal Incident
The violent attack occurred near the junction of Hunters Road and Villa Road in September 2024, following what police have described as "disorder" that broke out shortly after midnight. Despite detectives identifying multiple suspects and making several arrests in the case, Ali has managed to avoid capture and remains at large.
Authorities have expressed frustration with their ongoing efforts to locate the suspect, noting that numerous public appeals have failed to produce any significant leads. Ali's photograph continues to feature prominently on West Midlands Police's most wanted list, a stark reminder of the unresolved nature of this case nearly a year and a half after the crime.
Renewed Police Appeals for Public Assistance
In May of last year, detectives renewed their urgent call for information from the community, emphasizing the importance of public cooperation. Their official statement read: "If you see him or know of his whereabouts please call 999 immediately quoting 20/885260/24."
Investigators speculate that Ali may have left the Birmingham region to maintain a low profile, but they stress that anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, should contact police without delay. The case remains a high priority for law enforcement as they continue their search for the suspect.
