A 71-year-old woman has died following a collision with a white Mercedes in a residential street in Nottingham.
Tragic incident in St Ann's
The fatal crash occurred on Linnell Street in St Ann's at approximately 9am on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The pedestrian, a local pensioner, was involved in a collision with the car.
Emergency services rushed the woman to hospital with serious injuries. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, she sadly died two days later, on Thursday, November 27.
Police investigation and appeal
Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed that the driver of the Mercedes stopped at the scene. The motorist has been spoken to by officers and has provided an account of the incident.
Detective Sergeant Paul Clark, of the force's serious collision investigation unit, expressed his condolences. "Our thoughts and condolences are with the woman’s family following this tragic incident," he said. "Specially trained officers continue to work with them and offer their support."
The family has requested privacy as they grieve their loss.
Call for witnesses and information
Inquiries into the exact circumstances of the crash are ongoing. Police are now urging anyone with information to make contact.
Investigators are particularly keen to obtain any dashcam footage from the Linnell Street area around the time of the collision. They believe this could be crucial to their investigation.
