Police called to Asda Darlaston over suspicious man

Police officers were called to an Asda supermarket in Darlaston following reports of a man acting suspiciously. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 6, at around 8pm on St Lawrence Way.

West Midlands Police (WMP) stated they received a report about a man behaving suspiciously at the location. However, when officers arrived at the scene, the individual had already left the area.

Social media users had claimed the man was armed with a knife and attempting to cause trouble, but police could not confirm these details. A WMP spokesperson said: "We were called to St Lawrence Way, Darlaston shortly before 8pm last night after reports of a man acting suspiciously. Officers attended but the man had left the area."

This incident was one of several police responses in the region that day. In a separate event, officers in Wolverhampton discovered a samurai sword hidden in the waistband of a man who was part of a group acting suspiciously. The weapon was seized, and one arrest was made.
