In a swift operation today, March 19, Atherstone & Coleshill Police seized counterfeit tobacco within the first five minutes of their foot patrol. The incident occurred on Market Street in Atherstone, where officers stopped a male driver in a vehicle.

According to a Facebook post by Atherstone & Coleshill Police, PCSO Scott conducted the patrol and intercepted the vehicle. The driver, who is linked to a shop in the town, was questioned, and a small quantity of counterfeit tobacco was confiscated from the vehicle.
Police have stated that they will continue the investigation into the connection between the male and the shop. Trading standards have been notified and are actively involved in the ongoing inquiries.
