Renewed Police Appeal for Man Missing Nearly Five Months

Staffordshire Police have launched a renewed public appeal to help find a man who has been missing for almost five months, with a recent CCTV sighting placing him in Tamworth. The individual, identified as Scott, 48, was last seen at his home in Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Key Details and Description

Scott is described as being 6 feet tall with a slim build and a shaved head. A distinctive feature is the letters C and R tattooed on his neck. Police believe he was captured on CCTV in Tamworth on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, which has prompted this latest appeal.

Authorities have noted that Scott is known to travel to various locations, including Birmingham, London, and Suffolk in East Anglia. He also has connections to Essex, broadening the search area beyond his local region.

Ongoing Investigation Efforts

This marks the sixth appeal issued by Staffordshire Police in their efforts to locate Scott. Previous searches have focused on the Fenton area of Stoke-on-Trent, where missing posters were distributed in the Berryhill Fields region, approximately four miles from Fenton.

The recent sighting in Tamworth has led police to widen their net, emphasizing the urgency of the case. A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police stated, "We are continuing our efforts to find missing man, Scott, from Stoke-on-Trent. As part of our inquiries, we are releasing an image of a man we believe may be him from CCTV in the Tamworth area on Wednesday 28 January."

How the Public Can Help

Police are urging anyone with information about Scott's whereabouts to come forward. They should contact Staffordshire Police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 404 of December 6, 2025. The force is keen to identify the individual in the CCTV image and encourage him to make contact.

The appeal highlights the collaborative role of the community in such cases, with authorities relying on public assistance to gather crucial leads. The family has also issued images to aid in the search, underscoring the personal impact of Scott's disappearance.
